Happy Birthday to my Grandma! Today is my sweet Grandma's special day, and she is truly one of the hardest people to shop for on the planet. She is allergic to most soaps, perfumes, lotions, certain metals in jewelry, and she's diabetic. That means no pretty little spa sets, no cute candy tins, and no costume jewelry....so what are we left with? Also, did I mention, she's a bit hard to impress. Throughout the years, our gifts have typically gotten such responses as, "Oh, uh huh." Sigh. This year we decided to go a totally new route, and get her an experience gift; tickets to the new aquarium in our area. Sea Life Grapevine
Experience gifts are great for grandparents, since they don't clutter up their already full closets, and it gives them an excuse to enjoy the activity without worrying about being able to afford something frivolous on a fixed income. Tickets to an aquarium, zoo, movies, skating rink, bounce house, water park, and theme park are also great experience gifts for kids who just don't need any more clothes and toys piling up.
